My project
will be to research and create concept art for fictional characters as part
of my body of work. My aims and outline are to create a diverse portfolio of
character art suitable for a professionally made game, in order to display my
skills and talents as well as creating work to an industry standard. |

Context / Rationale/why? |

This project is important because the process of character design
should be studied, in order to understand what makes the process and
intricacies effective. |

Key Areas of Research/How |
|
My key areas of research will be how characters for games are created, for all the kinds of shapes and sizes, colour palettes and real life influences in order to create interesting ideas and characters. Other areas of research will be to look at artbooks and interviews with industry veterans in order to see how information is conveyed through designs. |

Intended Outcomes of Project/Results |
|
My intended outcome is to create a portfolio of designs to an industry standard, suitable for videogames. The result of this will be various designs for a wide variety of characters, in shape, size, and personality.
